What moves the fare
The total depends on departure port, arrival island, date, carrier, vessel type, the number and ages of passengers, ticket conditions and any vehicle. For two quotes to be comparable all of these must match: same date, same direction, same extras. The booking path is the source of the current price, which is why you will not find a fixed figure here, it would be out of date within weeks.
Termoli and the Gargano are not the same product
From Termoli the crossing is short and departures are more frequent. From the Gargano the journey is longer and seasonal. The honest comparison is not between two fares but between two complete trips: what it costs and takes to reach the port, how many alternatives you have if a sailing is full, and how you get back.
Work out the return with the outbound
The common mistake is to book the cheapest outbound and then discover that the return you need does not run that day. Start from the last useful return, confirm it in the timetable and only then choose the outbound. This matters most on the seasonal routes, where one sailing a day is the norm.
The vehicle and the parking alternative
A vehicle adds a separate charge and only makes sense when the sailing carries it and the island admits it. Non-resident vehicles are restricted for most of the 2026 season, so the realistic comparison is passenger tickets plus mainland parking against the vehicle option. The vehicles and parking guide starts from that decision.
Checks before you pay
Confirm the landing island, the carrier, the date and the passenger names, then the change and cancellation conditions. A lower price to the wrong island is not a saving: San Domino and San Nicola are separate islands, and you cross between them only by boat.
Questions about fares
FAQ
Which port is cheapest for the Tremiti Islands?+
There is no answer that holds for every date. Termoli has more departures and therefore more alternatives; a Gargano port can win if you are already on the promontory and save the transfer. Compare the whole journey, not just the crossing.
Does the price change in high season?+
Fares and availability depend on the carrier and the period. In August sailings fill up and alternatives shrink: the practical difference is often not the price but finding a seat.
What do children pay?+
Age brackets and conditions vary by carrier. Enter each passenger's age in the search and read the rules attached to the quote rather than applying a general percentage.
Is a return cheaper than two singles?+
It depends on the carrier and the fare type. Either way, work out the total for both legs first: a cheap outbound is no help if it forces an awkward return.
Is a vehicle included in the passenger fare?+
No, vehicle carriage is a separate item where a sailing offers it. Check the island rule first, see the vehicles and parking guide.
Where do I request a refund or change?+
With the seller named on your booking confirmation, under the conditions you purchased. The contact page explains who to approach.
